Mubinna's Updates #2

Lord- hello once again!  I really should 'ought to keep people updated a little more! My bad! I think I'm going to have to specifically schedule time to write down updates on stuff so- how about Sunday? I'll make some time for it, like a weekly round up if you will. For now, you'll just have to tolerate my Monday post. So, what's been going on? Ah! It feels so hectic to explain anything that goes on in my life! Despite how little content there is to actually say... Well, for one I got a printer today! It's an ecotank so hopefully it lasts much longer than any cartridge printer. I honestly need it for university so it's a sound investment for me.  It also means I can print out stickers.  But you guys didn't come for my random printer review now did you? Otherwise, I'm actually studying art again (or at least trying to.) I'm the type of person who loves to study literally everything when I get the opportunity to (I say it keeps my mind focused in ...

Ai and its usage within Education

I'm someone who often doesn't talk on issues around a.i, nor anything surrounding a.i in regards to artwork, but I had a curious conversation with my sister regarding the usage of ai in her education. My sister is under the age of 16, in her most influential of years really, where she must learn basic Math, English, and Sciences. So, somebody tell me why on earth she's being taught how to use ai in Design and ai in History?  As many know about me, I am an artist. I learnt all the skills I have now by myself, and have been teaching myself constantly since I was around 10 or so. My ideas when it comes to any project is "I will learn how to do this myself if I cannot pay somebody to do this for me." Hell, I even learnt how to use an editing software to make my own animations because I craved a new project to do, a new thing to learn. I could've easily asked ai to do it, but I believe that not only does it harm the environment around me, it very much puts my int...

Learning new skills is something.

A little context behind me. I'm one of many artists online, yes. I don't share a lot of personal information regarding my life or what I generally do often, but it's needed in this instance to tell you why I suddenly have taken up learning HTML.  I am a University student, shocking I'm aware. But, I'm specifically the Eng Lit student that wants to nosedive into marketing. No surprise there, I'm sure I talked about it before somewhere, sometime ago. But, due to this want I actually have to advertise myself publicly. This includes social medias, updates on what I'm doing, relating what I'm learning as I'm having fun doing all of this, and learning new skills. Part of those new skills have included, as of late, editing videos, some editing audios, and designing my own website. Of course, if you know me (or if you don't) you'd see that I post this funky little link everywhere. It's my public carrd online, it relates to my commissions, my soc...

2 weeks update. (Mubinna's Art Updates #1)

Image
So, it's been 2 weeks. So where have I been?  Well, if you've seen me anywhere you may have noticed I've been inactive for close to a week, and truthfully, I do not regret it. I love my art accounts and making anything creative for the life of me. However, sometimes, the offline world must take precedent. That doesn't mean I have 0 art to show you guys. I did draw both a portrait and a 2 person full body portrait.   As you may notice, there is a theme. No I am not obsessed with Cookie Run Kingdom. I am proud of myself though, if any of you have looked at my kofi  you may have noticed, I'm not one to draw full bodies usually. So I'm very proud that I can in fact do it. Of course this pose was referenced, unfortunately I can only link it to a Pinterest link.  I use Pinterest a lot for my references (particularly if the pose is difficult.) Even if a pose is going to be cartoonish, I'm of the opinion you have to study the basics in order to master harder things....

Actually, doing fan content is cool.

So, when I started my social medias almost a year ago, there was 1 thing I was actually very wary about. The 1 thing in question being fan art. I surrounded myself with art when I was growing up, it always spoke to me and called to me. One thing that never called to me however, was to make fan art. I've made hundreds upon hundreds of artworks of my own characters and things relating to their stories. But the first time I had legitimately made artwork for any type of media was when I was around 15/16 and I did 2 or so "fan art" for mystic messenger. Sadly, one is lost to time but the other one is this mini comic, that's really just 3 panels... Classy, I'm very aware. Besides this picture though, I've never really been into making fan content on my own behalf unless I was role-playing in some place, and even that interest has faded now. It wasn't that I was against drawing fan content. Hell, a good portion of my online years before the social medias, I was ...

Updates: I'm aware  this blog has only existed for a couple of days, however I find it important to update whoever may be viewing this blog what are my general plans regarding this blog and what updates I plan for this blog. Firstly, I don't want this blog to be entirely informal, however I don't want this blog to sound quite rigid and heavily structured either. So one of the first things I'll do on this blog here is figure out how both the page and posts features work in detail. I would love to blog my day to day life, especially with university popping back up for me. But I do also love sharing what artistic thing I am working on currently, whether that's my own projects, commissions, or simply whatever I'm studying for that day! I do love to share what journey I am going on. The second thing I would love to do for this blog is to make very specific images for this blog. As an artists, visuals are a very important thing to me and I take a lot of pride in it pe...

Art Style Hatred is so weird.

Image
So I actually did something artsy today and bit my fear of drawing in sketchbooks again.   It definitely doesn't make me nervous to do this again no not at all.  But, when I'm posting these to my social medias I see some of my mutuals. Now, my mutuals? I love them all, they're brilliant, I love all their art. I also don't understand how they get caught up in some things. Literally, I never do I get astonished each time. But one such case is of one of my mutuals who I'm not naming in case they don't wanna randomly be featured on some blog. She's got some very pretty art, and uses mainly either watercolour or highlighter and fineliners. Another feature of her art is the fact that she has 2 really big artistic choices in her art. Long necks, and long faces. Please, mind you, I also have these features in my own art style and I pride myself on it. However whenever I see my mutual post, I am  very  likely to see comments expressing actual disgust at this art styl...
